The restaurant has been established in Fitzrovia for more than 25 years and is home to the media, journalists and writers, with an atmosphere that is relaxed and friendly. Neel Akash has been acclaimed for providing interesting food at a reasonable price. Favorites include Choyala barbecued mutton or chicken chopped with spices and herbs at £3.95. King Prawn Butterfly, Dhaka Chicken Special £5.90, Chicken Jalfrezi £5.20, Tandoori Fish (pomfret fish from Bangladesh lightly spiced and grilled in a charcoal clay oven). Shashlick, Chicken Tikka Masala, Kebab Afghani.
Pumpkin Curry £2.90, Baigon dal (aubergine and lentil cooked in sauce) £2.90. Most main courses are around £4.80 to £5.20 each, starters around £1.80 to £2.60 plus many vegetarian dishes and the usual dishes. Try some of the popular set dinners including Vegetable Thali £8.90, the tandoori Deluxe Meal, the Vegetable or Fish Deluxe Meal or for the tandoori lover an assortment of Tandoori dishes, the Neel Akash Tandoori mix grill for 2 people ( papadam, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, seekh kebab, rogon josh, mix vegetable curry, piloa rice and nan bread)
